Recovery Devon Training

With a 20 year legacy of championing recovery in Devon and beyond, a key aim is to keep recovery relevant for all who design, deliver, and use mental health services.

Recovery is a word that services often use, but rarely take time for themselves to reflect on how its principles can resource us in our daily lives and work. Our Recovery Training educates organisations and people about mental health recovery, the principles, values and meaning behind the recovery movement, whilst also weaving in the voice of lived experience.

Recovery Devon currently offers Recovery Training within Devon Partnership NHS Trust, Peer Support Workers in training at the University of Exeter, First Response Teams, and by invitation to Primary Care settings such as GP surgeries and social prescribers. Post-COVID we want to widen this offer to more organisations in the VCSE sector.

In response to student and community demand we have a new training offer in development this year. Our “Mapping for Recovery Communities” (in partnership with aDoddle) draws on our community development team’s expertise in bringing organisations together to collaborate, network, and co-design.
