Within My Eyes

Curious patterns wake me from a slumber of the mind;
Displayed upon a whitewashed wall sends shivers up my spine.

The light display in vision deep with darkness close at hand,
Makes me weep for souls I knew in a half-forgotten land.

Neglect may make the strongest man despair in times so hard;
Dark silhouettes give credence to a love that left its mark.

The nebula within my eyes as the flickering begins,
May light the way for all mankind and a company of jinns.

But exploration of the deep recesses of the heart,
Encumber me with eyes that see my worth now torn apart.

For God has left my vision quest and ripped my heart to shreds,
Vanquished in a parallel world of hurt no less.
