A brief look at our ongoing projects and ideas discussed in the February 2018 Board meeting.
The Recovery Devon Board meets every month to discuss our current projects and make sure that we are still moving in the right direction. To give you an idea of what goes on, here are a few things we talked about in January.
Recognising that Recovery Devon as an organisation must itself actively stay well, we have created a WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) which we live by and review regularly.
During 2008 to 2010, Recovery Devon went through a lengthy process to identify and promote our priorities for development in the local mental health services.
Recovery Devon is a Community Interest Company funded by, but independent from, Devon Partnership NHS Trust. Recovery Devon became a Community Interest Company on 15 June 2012, Company Number 01807189.
Along with Bill Anthony we define recovery as: A deeply personal, unique process of changing one’s attitudes, values, feelings, goals, skills and roles. It is a way of living a satisfying, hopeful and contributing life, even with the limitations caused by illness.’
