May was another busy month for our Community Development Workers, we held events, attended events and were out and about in the community spreading the word about our Community Development Fund.

Our main event this month was our Mental Health Awareness Fair for Mental Health Awareness Week. A huge thank you to everyone that attended, and Exeter Library for hosting us!

On a day were the library had over 2000 visitors we recorded over 600 meaningful conversations and connections were made with the incredible organizations that joined us.

If you’ve got an event you’d like us to be a part of this year or next, please get in touch by emailing

Opportunities for Recovery can be be found everywhere, if you know how to find them.

Mental Health Awareness Fair 2023

What a day!!

The Recovery Devon team are passionate about highlighting the work being offered in the communities around Exeter and Devon and it was a privilege to be able to organize an event where this could be highlighted.

It was uplifting being able to witness all the conversations happening and seeing people connect to what support is out there. This years event was busier and more attended then last years with a steady footfall throughout the day and a buzz in the air.

For more information on what happened throughout the day and the organizations that attended please click the link below.

A huge thank you to those that applied, this year there was another growth in the amount received and a wealth of recovery ideas and knowledge throughout all applications. We also had a record breaking amount of applications from North Devon which really highlights the need and passion for recovery projects throughout Devon.

It also shows the impact that our Community Development Worker, Jody, is having in her patch through connections made and spreading the recovery message and ethos. Thank you Jody!
