Hungry Hippos and an inspiring Hotel

Welcome back to the positive news blog. Todays instalment of positive news starts with the story of a hotels goodwill and generosity.

Fownes Hotel in Worcester have opened up their rooms to the homeless since the beginning of the Covid epidemic. The hotel that usually charges £155 per night made the decision to stay open for those that were homeless.

They also got advice from a Homeless charity, who they then collaborated with to provide people with workshops on how to seek benefits, manage addictions and secure future accommodation.

As a thank you to the hotel those that are staying there have started doing odd jobs such as gardening, cleaning, DIY and brickwork. What a great story of kindness, people giving and generosity. (story found from Good News Network)

We also have this uplifting video from Bryn Celyn Care home from the Happy Newspaper. This care home played an upgraded version of Hungry Hippos with their residents to brighten their afternoon. What a wonderful idea!
