James Withey runs a website which hosts many letters from people who live with depression, talking about their experiences and how they manage day-to-day to offer solace, thoughts on coping and hope.
In James’ own words:
The Recovery Letters is a website of letters from people recovering from depression, addressed to those currently suffering. A book is being released of some of the letters on the website and we are looking for new letters as well. Our view on recovery is not about being ‘recovered’, but living a life with as much meaning in spite of, and alongside depression.
If you would be interested in writing a letter for possible inclusion in the book have a look at the website for guidelines http://therecoveryletters.com/ideas-and-development- and/or e-mail James Withey, the project founder at therecoveryletters(*AT*)yahoo.co.uk.
