Autumn 2015 Choices in approaches events

Soteria Network

Southwest next meetings:
Wed 23rd Sept, 5.30 – 7.30 pm at St Sidwells Community Centre, Sidwell Street, Exeter

The Soteria Network are a network of people in the UK promoting the development of drug-free and minimum medication therapeutic environments for people experiencing ‘psychosis’ or extreme states. For more information email Margaret at info@soterianetwork.org.uk

Open Dialogue Devon:
Meeting for people working together to promote the use of Open Dialogue and dialogical approaches locally. All welcome. (Tea and coffee making facilities, feel free to bring something to eat).

‘This is Madness’ public forum:

‘This is Madness’ is creating a public forum where we can explore alternatives, attitudes and power within mental health and our society.

Thurs 8th Oct, 10am-12.30pm –

“This is Madness” invites you to celebrate World Mental Health Day at St Stephen’s Church, High St, Exeter. This year’s theme: dignity in mental health. Come and explore, stalls, refreshments, art, music, books. Watch this space for further details: www.bridgecollective.org.uk/events/

Transformation Triangle:
Looking at creating local alternatives to hospitals and medication through: changing public attitudes, creating alternatives and honouring rights from Jim Gottstein’s Transformation Triangle idea of how system change can be achieved.
